Who operates this site

Marvel Rivals Meta (https://marvelrivalsmeta.sinistous.com) is operated by Sinistous Studios. This policy describes what we collect when you use the site and why.

Information we collect

• Account data — When you sign in with Google or Discord, we receive your name, email address, and profile image from that provider so we can create and maintain your account.
• Player profile data (optional) — If you choose to link a Marvel Rivals player profile for Premium rankings, we may store public profile identifiers and stats you authorize. Browsing the hero roster and team builder does not require this.
• Subscription data — If you purchase Premium, Stripe processes payment. We store your Stripe customer and subscription IDs and status so we can unlock Premium features. We do not store full card numbers.
• Technical data — Standard server and hosting logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) may be collected by our hosting provider for security and reliability.

How we use information

We use your information to:

• Authenticate you and maintain your session
• Display Premium rankings when you link a player profile
• Process and manage Premium subscriptions
• Operate, secure, and improve the site

We do not sell your personal information.

Third-party services

We rely on these providers to run the site:

• Google / Discord — sign-in (OAuth)
• Stripe — subscription billing
• Neon — database hosting
• Vercel — application hosting
• Public hero metadata and portrait providers — roster, ability, and image data used to populate the catalog (not your account data)
• jsDelivr / GitHub (Rivalsstats) — community-hosted hero portrait icons used as a fallback when primary portraits are unavailable

Each provider has its own privacy policy governing how they handle data passed to them.

Cookies and sessions

We use session cookies to keep you signed in. Stripe may set cookies during checkout. You can control cookies through your browser settings, but some features may not work without them.

Data retention and deletion

We retain account and subscription records while your account is active. Subscription records are kept as needed for billing and tax compliance. To request account or data deletion, contact us through Sinistous Studios.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of the site after changes are posted means you accept the updated policy.
